Mexico City imprint Akita Club is pleased to welcome its first guest in the form of Turning Torso and his Chroma EP. After two inward-looking missives from Nico, this record feels like the label is drawing the curtains open and letting some light and air in.

Turning Torso is a stalwart of the Mexico City experimental and dance scenes, and on Chroma he grafts the jazzy sevenths and melodic basslines of deep house onto the rhythmic trickery of the Dance of Time, the Sound of Livity, like Mr Fingers born one pond across and some decades later.

A lighter touch for a lighter heart.
